The Afizélia is one of the thirty species belonging to the Leguminisae family with origin in africa. Commercially the wood is better known by the name "Doussié", its bark being reddish in color. It is a wood of medium to high hardness which ends up giving it a good durability and a good resistance. It is usually applied in furniture, interior and exterior carpentry, floors, doors and stairs.
