Tola is a very tall tree, native to West Africa, which favors deep soil and an abundance of moisture. It can reach about 60 meters in height and the trunk, with resinous bark, can measure between 70 and 80 cm in diameter. It is a wood with a yellowish to pinkish color, with medium durability. It is normally used in interior carpentry, furniture, decoration and civil construction.
