Ipê is one of the species of the Tabebuia genus, belonging to the botanical Bignoniaceae, which means “thick bark tree”. The tree can reach 30 meters in height and its main characteristic is hardness. It is one of the densest woods on the market that generally needs to be drilled before screwing. It is normally used in floors, musical instruments, civil construction and decks.
