Pine trees are perennial and also resinous plants. The bark of most pine trees is thick and scaly. Pine trees do well in acidic soils and in some calcareous soils, although the vast majority of this species needs well-drained or sandy soil. This wood has a yellowish white hue. It is normally used in floors, interior and exterior carpentry, doors and cladding.
