Hard Maple is one of the species of Maple wood that only grows in West Virginia for climatic reasons. It can reach up to 35 meters in height, and at the age of ten it reaches 5 meters. A thin and compact tree, light brown in color and medium to high hardness. It is normally used on floors, furniture, interior joinery, stairs, doors, coverings, sporting goods and musical instruments.
