Ash is a medium-sized tree that can reach about 25 meters in height, with a yellowish color, developing in fresh and deep soils. Ash heartwood is not very resistant to moisture and attack by parasites and is therefore vulnerable and prone to decay. This wood is noble, being appreciated as a hard and dense material, which is not only strong, but also elastic. It is usually applied to floors, furniture, interior carpentry, joinery, sporting goods and musical instruments.
